It’s so nice to see the longer days and lighter nights finally with us. I feel all spring like and knowing that we have the long days of summer to look forward to really puts a smile on my face. However, with the better weather comes the constantly growing lawn requiring mowing at least once a week (job for the husband). Looking at the garden today I could see some growth on the rose bush my friend bought me for a wedding present, and also the Lily bush that my son gave me in remembrance of my Dad many years ago.
However the garden distinctly lacked colour! Now I am no green fingered goddess by a long shot, so I had no idea what I could plant to brighten up the space.
So to cheer myself up I decided to embark on a bit of flower and succulent stamping and card making. I made about 20 cards in under an hour and it was really fun!
Just chop some good quality A4 card stock in half lengthways, fold in half again and you have a tent fold card base. You can use any colour for the base and then matte it with lighter colour card or paper, on to which to stamp.
Handmade cards are lovely to give to family and friends.
